DAY 1 Singapore --> Tokyo
Your vacation starts with a pleasant flight from Singapore to Sapporo via Tokyo.
DAY 2 Tokyo - Mt Showa - Bear Ranch - Lake Toya (Lunch/Dinner)
• Upon arrival at Chitose Airport, meet and greet by local guide.
• Mount Showa is a volcanic lava dome which was created between 1944 and 1945 by a series of strong earthquakes. The peak is now 398 m tall, and is still an active volcano.
• Visit Ezo grizzly bears and their cubs at the Bear Ranch.
DAY 3 Lake Toya - Noboribetsu - Jigokudani Hell Valleyotaru - Kitaichi Glass - Music Box Museum - Odori Park - Underground Shopping Mall - Sapporo (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
• Jigokudani or "Hell Valley" is a valley which displays hot steam vents, sulfurous streams and other volcanic activity. It is a main source of Noboribetsu's hot spring waters.
• Visit Otaru, a lively port city famous for its canal and glasswork shops. Take a photo-stop at the Otura Canal where all the century-old stone warehouses are lined both sides of the canal.
• Visit Kitaichi Glass Museum reputed by its antique lamps and hand-blown glassware as well as the historical red brick building – the Otaru Music Box Museum, where you can admire all the beautifully crafted music boxes and listen to its heavenly music.
• Thereafter we’ll drive pass the historic Clock Tower and make a stop at the Odori Park to view the Sapporo Tv Tower.
• Next proceed to Underground Shopping Mall.
DAY 4 Sapporo - Beer Factory - Ishiya Chocolate Factory - Sake Brewery Museum - Asahikawa - Sounkyu (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
• After breakfast, visit the Sapporo Beer Museum for a view of beer production and a chance to taste this famous beer.
• Proceed to visit the Ishiya Chocolate Factory to learn about the history and process of manufacturing chocolate.
• Sake Brewery Museum Set in an old brick warehouse near the railway station, this beer pub offers its own brewed beer in a western setting. Worth a visit only for beer lovers.
DAY 5 Sounkyo - Niseko Ski Resort (Breakfast/Dinner)
• This morning proceed to Sounkyo, a hot spring resort located at the foot of Daisetsuzan, surrounded by cliffs on both sides is also a sight worth seeing especially the Ginga-no-taki and Ryusei-no-taki waterfalls.
• In winter, Niseko invites you into its snowy world and lets you drift in the wilderness. (ski equipment at pax own expenses)
DAY 6 Niseko - Hakodate - Konbu Seaweed Museum - Onuma Park - Goryukaku (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
• Morning Visit Konbu seaweed museum.
• Onuma Park (Onuma Koen) is known for its picturesque, island dotted lakes and majestic dormant volcano, Mount Komagatake.
• Hakodate features a relatively temperate climate and bountiful nature and has continued to develop as a center of administration, economy and culture in southern Hokkaido.
• Only the castle walls remain of Goryokaku itself, but in the spring over 1,500 cherry trees bloom, making the park famous for its cherry blossoms.
• Mount Hakodate (Hakodateyama) is 334 meters high and allows a spectacular view of both the city and the Tsugaru Strait. On clear days and especially at night, the view of Hakodate from the mountain is quite amazing and is said to be amongst the three most beautiful views in the world.
DAY 7 Hakodate - Seafoof Market - Kanemori Warehouse - Trappisitine Convent - Haneda --> Singapore (Breakfast)
• There are currently over 450 shops chiefly handling crab, salmon, salmon roe, and other fresh seafood caught in the ocean around Hokkaido, but also including vegetables, fruit, dried goods, snacks, clothing, everyday sundries, and a wide variety of items.
• Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse, the first commercial warehouse in Hakodate, has witnessed the history of the city through its warehousing business. As one of the symbols of the Hakodate bay area that still reminds us much of the early days of the shipping industry.
• The Trappistine Convent was established by eight nuns from France and built in 1898 to house only nuns. Today, there are about 70 nuns, under the commandment of St. Benedict, supporting themselves in divine devotion by managing dry field and dairy farms.
